As art director at DeanHouston, I was chosen to spearhead a campaign with our newly-acquired client KSB North America. The task was to promote the unique technology KSB products employ in the water/wastewater treatment industry. This technology evacuates the primary causes of pump clogs rather than breaking them apart and sending them downline. Clogged pumps create hours of downtime in repair, creating severe productivity and service backup problems for the facility technicians and engineers.
The concept was to personify the technology and product as a facility engineer super hero who was literally opening up the flood gates in clogged wastewater treatment facilities from all the debris commonly found there which are primarily water bottles, aluminum cans and baby wipes.
After an extensive client pitch to the KSB North American marketing team, the campaign was given the green light after being presented to the parent company in Germany.
Starting from an initial sketch, I handled all facets of producing the photo shoot including managing the budget, handling all logistics, securing talent, finding a location, overseeing props and wardrobe, managing photo-direction, and assuring all post-production of photo assets and marketing executions.
Although this campaign was conducted several years ago, the assets are still being utilized on KSB's website.
